Unconscious Bias Training at the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce

Nancy Gagnier, Executive Director, and Audrey Rowe, Program Director, gave a presentation on what implicit bias is and on how business owners and leaders can learn to challenge their own biases, and interact knowledgeably and respectfully among a variety of racial and cultural groups amid their peers and clients.

St. James Gate was the host for the Chamber's monthly breakfast meeting. Twenty Chamber members attended the presentation and participated in a good discussion of their personal and professional experiences with overcoming the obstacles faced when biases prevail.

We are grateful to the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity and to the attendees for their participation!
