The Board of Trustees met for an in-person retreat this September to build board relationships and to work in groups to think through the integration and equity issues in the community that can best be addressed by the work of the Coalition. As part of the preparation for both large and small group discussions, the trustees shared the racial equity issues that they consider to be the most pressing at the national and at the local level. Board chair Kelly Quirk and Trustee Tegan Culler facilitated the retreat. As always, the trustees and staff had robust discussions, shared their passion for and concerns about making progress, and generated a solid set of mission-related actions to take in the coming year.
