In this workshop, teaching artist Sandra Charlap will lead participants in creating mosaic designs using colored glass tiles.  Participants will learn how to use a wide range of materials, and learn about the best adhesives, grouts and techniques to create a visual representation of their family heritage that reflects the diversity of our SOMA community. You can also use these skills to continue this incredible art form on your own. Each design will be displayed as public art on one of the stone pedestals at the flagpole on South Orange Avenue. Free workshops will be held Sundays in October from 3:15-5:15 pm including the 6, 13, 20, and 27 and materials are included. Register here to reserve one of the limited slots.
