The Schools Committee gathered eighteen local preschool programs at an open house to share their programs with families looking for early learning options for their kids. In addition, Mr. Leroy Johnson, Supervisor of Preschool Education, shared with parents and guardians what to look for in a quality program, highlighting how play and learning work together. This is a service to the community provided by the Schools Committee to help families learn how preschool plays a crucial role in supporting kindergarten readiness and mitigating the achievement gap.
