The South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race offers its wholehearted congratulations to the Honorable Tahesha Way, Esq., on her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey. Governor Murphy’s selection followed the passing of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver earlier this summer.
Way’s career in public service, her leadership roles at state and national levels, and unwavering commitment to her community promise to be a true asset for New Jersey. We were so fortunate to have Lt. Governor Way open the Coalition on Race’s 25th Anniversary event with pointed and supportive remarks on the critical need to carry the mission of racial integration and true inclusion forward.
