Welcoming Our New Program Coordinator, Maddy Gabriel

The South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race is pleased to welcome Madeline (“Maddy”) Gabriel as our new Program Coordinator.

Maddy brings a passion for bringing people together and a strong background in event coordination, community engagement, and relationship-building. She is committed to creating programs that foster education, equity, and meaningful connection across our community.

“As the new Program Coordinator, I’m committed to building inclusive, engaging, and impactful community initiatives,” Maddy shared. “I’m excited to help strengthen connections across our communities and create programs that inspire understanding, collaboration, and positive change.”

In her role, Maddy supports the planning and execution of Coalition programs that bring residents together to learn, engage, and build relationships across race and culture. She is particularly focused on creating spaces where diverse voices are heard and valued, and where conversations can lead to deeper understanding and action.

Known for her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and personable approach, Maddy works closely with community members, partners, and volunteers to ensure that each program is thoughtfully designed and accessible to all. Her work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening community through connection, communication, and shared purpose.

We are excited about the energy, creativity, and care Maddy brings to this role and look forward to the impact she will have in advancing our mission and strengthening our community.
